Cincinnati’s Nick Senzel was placed on the 60-day injured list after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in May.
The former Vol is currently on rehab assignment with the Louisville Bats, Cincinnati’s Triple-A affiliate.
He is batting .176 (3-for-17) in six games with Louisville.
At the time of his injury, Senzel was batting .252 and recorded one home run and eight RBIs for Cincinnati.
Senzel was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 MLB draft after a three-year collegiate career with Tennessee.
Senzel’s career batting average is . 246. He has recorded 15 home runs in three Major League seasons for Cincinnati.
He played at Farragut High School in Farragut, Tennessee before his colligate career with the Vols.
