Notre Dame star freshman in concussion protocol

What will this mean for the prized recruit in 2021?

Prized 2021 recruit Blake Fisher is projected by most to become Notre Dame’s first true freshman to start at offensive tackle in 15 years when the Irish travel to Florida State on September 5.

Fisher hit a speed bump this week however as he missed Thursday’s practice as he’s in the team’s concussion protocol.

“You guys saw that Blake Fisher was out with a head injury. He’s in our second stage of the concussion protocol. He passed that today, which was his cardio. So he seems to be doing pretty good. He’ll go through the third phase, which is we’ll get him back in movement on the field, we’re off tomorrow, so Saturday.” – Brian Kelly

It’s still early in camp but when you’re talking about a true freshman getting ready to potentially start and be asked to make an impact in week one, each day and each rep that is missed is significant in regards to the upcoming season.
