Just like the rest of the Tennessee Titans fan base, wide receiver A.J. Brown is high on the team’s offense going into the 2021 campaign — and for good reason.
An already elite offense that sported Brown, running back Derrick Henry and quarterback Ryan Tannehill has now added wide receiver Julio Jones, who was acquired via trade with the Atlanta Falcons back in June.
After practice on Monday, Brown was asked by NFL Network what he would say to teams that are going try and stop this offense in 2021, and his response was simple: “Good luck.”
“You know, I’m humble but I’m going to say good luck, though,” Brown said with a laugh.
Brown was also asked about his quarterback and if he believes Tannehill can take the Titans all the way to the top. Not only does the third-year wideout think Tannehill can, he says the disrespect of the signal-caller is “nonsense.”
“I certainly believe so. He’s not in the top 10 talk, or whatever talk; to me, it’s nonsense,” Brown said. “Many games we came back, we fought back in two minutes. Derrick (Henry) doesn’t get the ball every play. Somebody has to throw us the ball, and he’s very accurate. Anybody who’s sleeping on him, it’s nonsense. He doesn’t really care about that stuff, and neither do we, so I think his head is in a good place.”

Tannehill has been stellar for the Titans since taking over the starting job in 2019, a campaign in which Tennessee looked lost offensively before he was named the starter.
Tannehill’s career revival continued in 2020, as the signal-caller finished with over 4,000 yards (3,819 passing, 266 rushing) and 40 total touchdowns to just seven picks.
Unfortunately, that still hasn’t been enough to garner him more respect, with Tannehill routinely being overlooked in quarterback rankings. That respect should come if the Titans can win a Super Bowl in 2021, though.
