It was a no-brainer for DeAndre’ Bembry to join the Nets after they showed interest in signing him. Both parties had mutual interest in each other before officially making the move a reality. A big part of why Bembry wanted to go to Brooklyn is because of the culture the organization is building:
“The organization is already on the way to what they’re trying to do — They kind of reached out as well and that was enough information for me to be on board.”
To no one’s surprise, the Nets are chasing a championship this year. With this roster easily being the 27-year-old’s most talented team, Bembry was asked on if this situation gives him more motivation or more pressure to make it to the promised land:
“It’s more sort of motivation — I think we have a major opportunity for sure and I don’t really think the pressure is there because we have a few guys that obviously have already won championships and have been in this position before. We have a lot of guys that will get us there.”
