Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremonies: Need-to-know info

Which Steelers are being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend and when.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame wraps up enshrinement week with a pair of ceremonies to honor 19 of its newest members.

Former Steelers head coach Bill Cowher and former players Troy Polamalu, Alan Faneca and Donnie Shell all received their gold jackets on Friday night.

Because the 2020 ceremony was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and pushed to this year, their inductions into the Hall of Fame will be split into Saturday and Sunday. 12 members of the Centennial Class of 2020 (including Cowher, Polamalu, Shell) will be enshrined tonight, and the 7 members of the Class of 2021 (including Faneca) will be enshrined tomorrow.

Steelers’ late longtime scout Bill Nunn was posthumously in April, but he will be recognized along with the seven living members of the 2021 class.

Former Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson, receiver Drew Pearson and safety Cliff Harris will also have their careers immortalized in Canton this weekend.
