Quarterback Deshaun Watson was not present for the third straight Houston Texans training camp practice.
According to Aaron Wilson of Sports Talk 790, Watson is not practicing due to calf and ankle tightness.
Offensive coordinator Tim Kelly told reporters on Aug. 4 that the team is focused on the players who are available at practice, not the players who aren’t.
“For us, we’re worried about the guys that are out there practicing,” Kelly said. “We’re out there, and Tyrod’s (Taylor) taking the snaps, and we’ve got J.D. (Jeff Driskel), we have Davis (Mills), and they’re doing a good job for us. That’s really all we can control and all we can focus on is make sure we’re getting those three new players ready to go.”
Another day of practice without Deshaun Watson on the field.

Watson has been in a standoff with the organization due to his trade request from late January.
