Tennessee kicked off fall training camp Wednesday at Haslam Field.
Following practice, first-year Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel recapped the Vols taking the field ahead of the season.
“Great day just to get out there and be able to go compete with everybody,” Heupel said. “Energy was really good. You expect that for day one.”
Heupel mentioned he liked his team’s ability to communicate with each other.
“You saw a bunch of players communicating and coaching each other up, and giving positive feedback,” Heupel said. “I think that’s unique and something we’re trying to build.”
Tennessee will kick off its season Sept. 2 against Bowling Green at Neyland Stadium.
