In the first five days of training camp, the Washington Football Team had seven players placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Washington could be on the verge of turning things around as offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas and defensive tackle Matt Ioannidis were activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday.
The following players have been activated off the Reserve/COVID-19 List:
DT Matt Ioannidis
CB Chris Miller— Washington Football Team (@WashingtonNFL) August 3, 2021
Defensive back Chris Miller was also activated from the list, giving Washington four players left. Brandon Scherff, Daron Payne and Curtis Samuel are three of the four players remaining on the COVID list.
There could be more good news on the horizon for Washington as Mike Jones of USA TODAY Sports reported on Tuesday that Washington’s vaccination percentage was up to 84%, a significant increase from when training camp opened.
Ron Rivera said yesterday that he was encouraged by improved vaccination rates on WFT. Source says now 84% of WFT players have received at least one vaccination shot. They opened camp at around 60%https://t.co/7jcYMjzR5B
