The Cleveland Browns, and their fans, believe they have the right man leading the team on the field in Kevin Stefanski. Since his arrival in Cleveland, Stefanski has been steady and consistent. As a first-time head coach, during a COVID-19 restricted season, Stefanski was able to lead the Browns to an 11 -5 record and a playoff victory.
Off the field, Stefanski has been just as steady and consistent. He is constantly involved in community activities that the team or his players are a part of.
With mental health continuing to become more and more a part of mainstream conversation, it is not surprising that Stefanski would be willing to weigh in:
Kevin Stefanski on mental health:
“We take it very seriously for our players, for our staff… because its very real and we want to make sure everybody’s mind is right… You can’t spend all this time in the weight room and on the field and then forget about the person.”

Just as Myles Garrett shared his thoughts on Simone Biles earlier in the week, Stefanski didn’t sidestep the question. His response shows a coach who thinks about his players and staff in a holistic way. Players are bought into what Stefanski is selling because of things like this.
(Editor’s note:Â As a practicing mental health professional, I am very happy to see Stefanski and Garrett, among others, using their platforms to encourage folks to care about their mental health.)
