There haven’t been many self-promoters in the NFL like Chad Johnson. The man called “Ochocinco” also happens to be a big fan of Michael Thomas, so news of the All-Pro wide receiver’s offseason ankle surgery has Johnson looking at the New Orleans Saints a little differently.
Of course the 43-year old isn’t seriously looking to come out of retirement; he’s busy enjoying the best breakfasts Miami can offer when he isn’t joining celebrity boxing matches. But it doesn’t speak well of the Saints receiving corps as it stands that Johnson could joke about this and get anything but laughs in response.
Hopefully the Saints find some help soon. Hopefully they can find someone younger than Johnson, though they struggle to find anyone as charismatic.
