It’s finally here, Chiefs Kingdom.
Kansas City Chiefs rookies, quarterbacks and injured players report to the team’s 2021 training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri beginning today.
While the players aren’t set to begin closed practices until the weekend, they’ll get situated at Missouri Western State University today. After a year spent at The University of Kansas Health System Training Complex due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team is back on the Griffons’ campus, marking the 11th season of the Chiefs traveling to St. Joe for training camp.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid, QB Patrick Mahomes and select players are expected to be made available for media interviews beginning this afternoon. Perhaps a few rookies will be made available ahead of their first training camp as well.
Typically the team will begin with three straight days of practice days closed to the public before the rest of the veterans arrive. The remainder of the team will report to camp on Monday, July 26th ahead of their first practice reserved for season ticket members on Wednesday, July 28th. The first open practice is on Thursday, July 29th at 9:15 a.m. CT.
