Around The NBA: Giannis Antetokounmpo drops 50 points on the way to leading Bucks to NBA title in game 6 over Suns, 105-98

As the Golden State Warriors turn their attention to the draft after a pair of losses in the Western Conference play-in tournament, Warriors Wire is looking around the association with the NBA Finals officially underway.

Following three straight wins, including a victory in Phoenix for game five, the Milwaukee Bucks had the opportunity to win the NBA title at home in game six.

Despite 45 combined points from Chris Paul and Devin Booker, the Suns had no answer for Milwaukee’s two-time Most Valuable Player.

With the chance of closing the series and bringing Milwaukee a title, Giannis Antetokounmpo torched the Suns for a sizzling 50 point performance on 16-of-25 shooting from the field. Antetokounmpo added 14 rebounds, five blocks and two assists in 42 minutes.

Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis, Jrue Holiday and Brook Lopez tacked on double-figure scoring efforts against the Suns as the Bucks capped off their run to the NBA championship with a win in game six, 105-98.

After the game, Antetokounmpo was named the 2021 NBA Finals Most Valuable Player. During the Finals, Antetokounmpo averaged 35.2 points on 61.8% shooting from the floor with 13.2 rebounds, five assists and 1.8 blocks per contest.
