Giannis Antetokounmpo beautifully crushed the idea of super teams and fans loved it

Giannis rules.

After the Bucks lost to the Heat in the second round of the playoffs last year everyone wondered about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future in Milwaukee and how it could soon come to an end.

Well, that didn’t happen as he signed a five-year extension with the team that drafted him No. 15 overall in the 2013 NBA Draft and last night he delivered the Bucks their first championship in 50 years by scoring 50 points in a performance that was truly legendary.

After the game he spoke about “super teams” and how he could have gone to one and won a championship but that wasn’t for him. What he has done with the Bucks is for him and he loves it.

And I love this:

I love how he didn’t want to bring any names into that. I’m sure he was thinking of James Harden, who hasn’t won a championship but has ripped Giannis in the past for just being tall and able to dunk, which was so stupid.
