Order of speeches for Troy Polamalu, Steelers HOF inductees announced

HOF announced Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 speech order. Both classes will be enshrined in a two-day event dubbed “Twice as Fun in ’21.”

When the Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony was canceled in 2020, who knew that Pittsburgh Steelers would dominate the 2021 enshrinement?

Troy Polamalu and Donnie Shell are being inducted as players, and Bill Cowher as contributor as part of the Class of 2020. In the Class of 2021 are Alan Faneca and scout Bill Nunn as contributor.

On Tuesday, the Hall of Fame announced the order of speeches for the two ceremonies.

As one of the best safeties ever to play the game, it only makes sense that Polamalu is up first. He’ll kick things off on Saturday, Aug. 7, followed five spots later by Shell. Cowher will deliver his speech as the 12th and final enshrinee of the evening.

On Sunday, Aug. 7, Faneca will follow Detriot Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson as the sixth member of the 2021 class to speak.

A video tribute for Nunn, enshrined posthumously in a special ceremony earlier this year, will also be shown.

Speeches will be limited to six minutes. Inductees cannot exceed eight minutes, or cut-off music will be played.
