On January 22, 2020, Jasiyah Robinson committed to Michigan State Football. On April 26, 2021, he entered the NCAA transfer portal. Now, on July 12, 2021, the former 3-star defensive lineman out of Groveport Madison announced that he will transfer to East Carolina.
Robinson is yet another player from Mark Dantonio’s last recruiting class who did not see action under the Mel Tucker administration and decided to find greener pastures elsewhere. A bit of a ‘tweener’, Robinson didn’t fit into the size profile that Tucker likes to have in the tranches and didn’t have the agility to play full-time linebacker. Hopefully a fresh start at East Carolina will bring a better fit for a player who was considered a project coming into East Lansing.
