After spending some time with legendary San Antonio Spurs and Team USA head coach Gregg Popovich during his first stint with USA Basketball representing his home country at its highest level of play, Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum took his defense to another level after Popovich got in his ear.
Seeing the potential in the St. Louis native to become one of the league’s elite two-way talents with some attention to the less flashy end of the court, Coach Pop worked with Tatum on that aspect of his game, and the results paid off big time in his 2020-21 campaign.
