Only Cam Newton could make his outfit in football pads look fresh and unique.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, the New England Patriots quarterback wore a pair of workout turtle-print shorts, a stylish, non-Patriots jersey and a Speedflex helmet. The helmet, in particular, caught the eye of NFL super fans. That would be a new look for Newton, who typically wears a Schutt Air XP Q10 helmet.
In this post, Newton showed himself throwing to Meyers. It seems those two are hard at work together, with two posts this week — and additional private workouts together in the spring. Newton and Meyers are both in competitions for the starting jobs at their respective positions — they’ll need to sharpen their games as much as they can.
