‘The roster is not complete,’ says Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck; ‘it can be a very busy July’

The Boston lead governor had plenty to say about the Celtics’ new head coach and the coming 2021-22 season.

There has been a palpable buzz around the hire of former Brooklyn Nets assistant Ime Udoka as the 18th head coach of the Boston Celtics, and team co-governor Wyc Grousbeck is certainly among those singing the praises of his new head coach.

In fact, he went on the popular local sports radio show “Felger and Mazz” to talk about the new hire, the offseason shake-ups so far, and the tasks ahead to put the finishing touches on the team as it will take the floor in the coming 2021-22 NBA season. Grousbeck spoke at length on these issues and more, perhaps even tipping the organization’s hand regarding offseason plans.

“I really feel really hopeful, really optimistic,” said Grousbeck of the team after the offseason departure of longtime team president Danny Ainge and the changes it triggered.
