[autotag]Nate Diaz[/autotag] is unquestionably one of the biggest stars in MMA, but is he deserving of a shot at the UFC’s welterweight title?
Following his decision loss to Leon Edwards at UFC 263 earlier this month, Diaz (20-13 MMA, 15-11 UFC) found himself in a surprising online exchange with reigning champion [autotag]Kamaru Usman[/autotag] (19-1 MMA, 14-0 UFC), who seemingly is open to a matchup.

Diaz is a proven draw at the box office, and any fight featuring him will prove a financial success for the promotion. But the longtime veteran currently stands at 1-3 in his past four appearances and was nearly shut out in his bout with Edwards, save for some incredible last-minute heroics that nearly saw him score an incredible come-from-behind knockout.
With that in mind, it’s hard to say Diaz “deserves” a shot at Usman’s title, though it’s also difficult to deny that fans would tune in. So if both athletes are willing, is it a fight that should be made? Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of “Gorgeous” George Garcia, Nolan King and Matthew Wells weighed in with host John Morgan in this week’s episode.
