Former University of Tennessee baseball player Nick Senzel is on the 60-day injured list.
Senzel, an infielder and outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds, had surgery in late May to clean out cartilage in his left knee.
He was placed on the 10-day injured list earlier this month.
The Reds are hoping that Senzel can return to the lineup by late July as there is no immediate time table for his return.
Senzel, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 MLB draft, had a stellar three-year career for the Volunteers.
He was an all-state performer at Farragut High School in Farragut, Tennessee.
In 2021, Senzel is batting .252 with one home run and eight RBIs.
