Wisconsin basketball set to take on a Big East opponent in the 2021 Gavitt Games

Wisconsin basketball has a Big East opponent on the schedule:

While the entirety of the Wisconsin basketball non-conference schedule has yet to be announced, the Badgers have their matchup in the Big Ten/Big East Gavitt Games early-season showdown.

Originally reported by CBS college basketball insider Jon Rothstein and later confirmed by UW, Wisconsin will take on Providence in the 2021 edition.

The Badgers-Friars matchup is scheduled for November 15 at the Kohl Center in Madison. Wisconsin is expecting a full capacity crowd for all athletic events, including basketball at the Kohl Center, starting this fall and extending throughout the year.
