Larry Fitzgerald to be part of ‘Match’ golf broadcast team

Legendary Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald will add some broadcasting to his resume, giving commentary for “The Match” on July 6.

Larry Fitzgerald has not yet made an announcement about his future with the Arizona Cardinals and whether he will return to play in 2021 or retire from the game, but he is busy doing other things that retired athletes tend to do.

Aside from paying attention to the Phoenix Suns, the NBA team in which he has an ownership stake, he will add some broadcasting to his resume.

Turner Sports announced on Thursday that Fitzgerald would be part of the broadcast team for “The Match,” according to Golf Week.

Brian Anderson the announcer for the match, joined by analyst Trevor Immelman and course reporter Cheyenne Woods. Fitzgerald joins NBA legend Charles Barkley as part of the broadcast team for commentary.

“The Match” features pairings of pro golfer Phil Mickelson and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady against pro golfer Bryson DeChambeau and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, July 6, at 5 p.m. ET on TNT.
