Stealing a base in a Major League Baseball game should never be as easy as it was last night for Minnesota Twins outfielder Alex Kirilloff, who took second base after noticing nobody on the Cincinnati Reds was paying attention.
Kirilloff was standing on first base after hitting a single to short right field when his first base coach, Tommy Watkins, appeared to let him know to go take second because it was wide open.
Just like that he cruised into second with no problems and left the announcers confused about how he got there.
Check out this heads up play:

Now that is some smart baseball. By the Twins.
And that’s is some bad baseball. By the Reds.
