Bryson DeChambeau came the closest you can come to a hole-in-one at U.S. Open

This was a wild way to grab the lead.

Today’s final round of the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines has been a wild one so far with a number of big-name players making moves in what has become a jam-packed leaderboard.

One of those players has been Bryson DeChambeau, who is the defending champion.

After a slow start in Thursday’s first round, DeChambeau has been on fire the past three days and he finally took the lead Sunday for the first time with a birdie on the par-3 8th hole.

And it was almost an ace, because look at how close he came to a hole-in-one.

How did this not go in!?
