The Philadelphia 76ers were able to earn a huge win over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday to force a Game 7 on Sunday. It was a physical battle as both sides were playing with the intensity that is called for that type of situation.
Things did escalate a bit in the fourth quarter as Joel Embiid got into a bit of an altercation with Hawks big man John Collins. Embiid was called for an offensive foul, which he was not happy about, and it appeared he was pushed in the back. Embiid then retaliated by getting into Collins’ face and back him into the crowd a bit on the baseline.
The NBA announced on Sunday that they will fine the big fella $35,000 for escalating the incident. On the flip side, Hawks big man Bruno Fernando was suspended one game for coming off the bench and running onto the court.
