Tom Brady seemed to take a subtle jab at the Green Bay Packers during an introductory press conference for The Match, a celebrity golf event that will pit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback and Phil Mickelson against Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Bryson DeChambeau.
Brady seemed to troll the Packers’ controversial decision to kick a field goal during the NFC championship against the Buccaneers in January. Rodgers spoke out against the decision, and has a fractured relationship with the team stemming, in part, from that game.
“I do think you have a partner who would probably like to go for it a little bit more than he has in the past, so Bryson, I’m glad you’re encouraging him to go for it,” Brady said, clearly referencing when the Packers did not go for it.
“Well, I don’t usually have the option,” Rodgers said with a smirk.
Here’s a look at the exchange.
.@TomBrady had to remind Rodgers about fourth down 🤣
