Injuries have been ravaging many teams in the NBA playoffs so far, and Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving is the latest to go down with an injury.
The Nets are already without star guard James Harden, who injured his hamstring in Game 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks, and now it’s Irving who went down.
During Game 4 between the Nets and Bucks, Irving made a cut to the basket for an open layup. Upon making the shot, he landed on the foot of Giannis Antetokounmpo, who had come into the area where Irving was about to land.
Irving immediately grabbed his ankle and noticeably looked in pain.
LeBron James, who was Irving’s teammate while with the Cleveland Cavaliers, reacted to the situation with an expletive on Twitter:
Irving went to the locker room after being helped off the court by medical staff and teammates.
The Nets ruled out Irving for the remainder of the game with a right ankle sprain.
