Here’s what Urban Meyer is saying about Tim Tebow’s work at tight end

Here’s the latest TE Tebow update.

We haven’t seen or heard much about Tim Tebow and how he’s doing with the Jacksonville Jaguars at OTAs after seeing a very jacked Tebow at practice catching touchdown passes from Trevor Lawrence.

It feels like that’s by design since he’s learning a position he’s never played in his football career.

As the Florida Times-Union reports, Tebow is “trying to absorb as much as possible learning a new tight end position and fitting in on a young roster.”

And what does head coach Urban Meyer have to say about him? It feels like it’s all somewhat positive, but it’s not like he’ll be able to figure out if Tebow is a legitimate tight end until later in the offseason:

“You wish you could see and do (more),” Meyer said. ”In spring football, you have full pads and scrimmages, and you can really evaluate, but it’s kind of tough right now.” …

“Oh, Tim has done a decent job. We all know this is a new position for him,” Meyer said. “He’s a great teammate. In the locker room, I can see everybody getting along, we have good chemistry on our team. But he’s picked it up decently.”

Decently! That’s … something.
