Just about everyone at Comerica Park — from the batter, Detroit Tigers infielder Isaac Paredes, to the crowd to a lot of Seattle Mariners — thought Paredes had hit what would have been the game-winning home run in the bottom of the ninth Wednesday night.
But Mariners outfielder Jake Fraley didn’t.
Playing deep, Fraley tracked the ball all the way to the wall, leaped and robbed Paredes of the dinger, then doubled off the runner at first. Inning over, game saved, and the Mariners would go on to win in extras, with Fraley — of course, knocking in a run as part of a rally.
The call was amazing too: “FRAAAAAAALEY!!”

The call from the Tigers’ booth was also fantastic: “OH NO!”
