The 2021 PFL 4 lineup took multiple hits on Wednesday.
PFL 4 will be without former UFC champion [autotag]Anthony Pettis[/autotag], who withdrew from his bout against Alexander Martinez due to illness, according to multiple reports. Ag. Fight broke the news.
With Pettis no longer on the card, 2019 lightweight champ Natan Schulte (24-4-1) will step up against Martinez in Atlantic City, N.J. Raush Manfio (12-3), who was set to take on Schulte on late notice, now meets Pettis on June 25 at PFL 6.
The PFL later announced that 2019 featherweight champ Lance Palmer and Movlid Khaybulaev, originally scheduled to fight separately at PFL 4, will now face each other at PFL 6. Their original opponents, Jesse Stirn and Sheymon Moraes, will now meet at PFL 4. It’s unclear why Palmer and Khaybulaev were shifted.
Pettis (24-11) and Palmer (22-4) both are in need of victories to have a chance at making the postseason after losing their fights at PFL 1.
