The deep ball by Joe Burrow is clearly a major point of emphasis for the Cincinnati Bengals this offseason.

One could point out it’s wise not to read too much into June OTAs, sure. But the Bengals have trotted out the rehabbing Burrow three times now and the deep ball has been a big point of the practices, including the last 30-plus minutes of work on Tuesday.

Zac Taylor then talked about this after the session, per ESPN’s Ben Baby: “It’s exciting. He looks really good…. He’s throwing the ball on time and where it needs to go and that’s what I’m pleased about.”

It’s not too much of a surprise Burrow is getting good reviews from those around him when it comes to this. He revealed he tweaked his throwing motion for more power during rehab and his targets have already said he has more velocity on his throws this summer.

Never mind, of course, Bengals fans capturing video of Burrow throwing bombs of 60-plus yards.

If everything goes as planned, Burrow will get to unveil this newfound throwing power and downfield passing right in Week 1 this fall.
