The Washington Football Team continues to add to the roster, making two more moves on Monday afternoon, just as the mandatory minicamp began.
The Football Team signed veteran defensive tackle Gabe Wright and interior offensive lineman Najee Toran.
Wright entered the NFL back in 2015 as a fourth-round pick from Auburn. In his six NFL seasons, the 6-foot-3, 300-pound Wright has spent time with Detroit, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Miami, Oakland and Jacksonville. He also played five games in the XFL before that league folded.

In 15 career games, Wright has a total of 12 tackles. Washington is set at defensive tackle with Jonathan Allen, Daron Payne, Matt Ioannidis and Tim Settle. Wright’s signing is clearly a depth move.
Toran, a 6-foot-2, 305-pound guard, entered the NFL as an undrafted pick in 2018. He spent his rookie season going back and forth between San Francisco’s active roster and practice squad. He signed with New England where he spent the 2019 season. He opted out of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
New England released Toran last month.
Much like Wright, Toran faces an uphill battle to make Washington’s roster.
