Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd believes his quarterback Joe Burrow has gained some arm strength since their last time throwing together.
Burrow hasn’t played in a game since his gruesome knee injury in week 11 that brought his impressive NFL debut to an abrupt end.
Although the former Tiger QB underwent reconstructive knee surgery after tearing both his ACL and his MCL in his left knee, he’s recovered swiftly and is on his way to being 100 percent.
“Our hands are stinging a bit,” Boyd commented on the power of Burrow’s throws during practice.

Obviously, Burrow didn’t allow the injury to hinder his progress going into the 2021 season. He’s throwing darts-some might even say he looks better than ever.
Burrow doesn’t just plan on merely making his way back to the field. He wants to make sure that he comes back better and more exciting than he was in his rookie year.
“I’d like to become more explosive,” Burrow said while critiquing his film from last season. “And I think I was really good in quick-game situations. On fourth down, we were really good. Empty [set], we were really good.”
Throughout his rehab, Burrow has strengthened some core fundamentals and seen great muscle growth- elevating his overall throwing game.
“Just getting my hips stronger through my rehab has gotten a ton more velocity on my ball,” he said. “I’ve been very happy with that.”
In just a short few months, Burrow won’t be the only one happy with this progress. Bengals nation is in for a treat.
