The Baltimore Ravens have one of the best defensive lines in the NFL, housing players such as Calais Campbell, Derek Wolfe, and Brandon Williams. However, the team didn’t draft any defensive tackles in the 2021 draft, and while players like Justin Madubuike, Broderick Washington and Justin Ellis are on the roster, Baltimore could use a bit more depth at the position.
After losing undrafted rookie defensive tackle Xavier Kelly to a torn achilles, the Ravens signed Jovan Swann, another undrafted defensive lineman. Baltimore announced the move on their official website.
We have signed DT Jovan Swann.

Swann himself also announced the signing, as he seemed excited to be a member of the Ravens.
A four-year college player, Swann played his first three years at Stanford University before suiting up for Indiana University in his final season. He accumulated 87 total tackles including 16.5 for loss as well as 8.5 sacks.
Swann spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers in rookie camp and also worked out for the Houston Texans. He will be training camp depth for Baltimore, but if he turns heads during the next few months, he could fight his way onto the 53-man roster.
