Cardinals to open training camp July 27 with almost all NFL

There will be a unified start to training camp this year in the NFL.

The Arizona Cardinals have not yet made an announcement about the specific schedule they will have for training camp later in the summer. However, we do know when it will begin because of a unified start to camps this year.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, 29 of the league’s 32 teams will begin training camp on the same day — July 27.

Three teams — the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers — will begin earlier. Tampa will play in the league’s season-opening game on the Thursday of Week 1 and will open camp July 24. The Steelers and Cowboys will start earlier because they are slated to play in the Hall of Fame Game, so they will open July 21.

The Cardinals hold training camp at State Farm Stadium and traditionally have held practices open to fans. However, coming out of the pandemic, it is uncertain how much access fans will have this year in camp. Teams expect to play in full stadiums this season, but those details have not been hammered out yet.

For now, though, Cardinals fans can begin the countdown to camp. July 27 is the day to know.
