Fresh off of his best season to date at Coastal Carolina, DeVante’ Jones will be looking to carry that success into the pre-draft process in workouts and interviews during the coming weeks.
Jones, who was named the 2020-21 Sun Belt Player of the Year, averaged 19.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.8 steals per game as a junior. He led the conference in steals while he was second in scoring and eighth in rebounding.
His 19.3 points per game ranked ninth-best in program history.
Following his season at Coastal Carolina, Jones announced on May 1 that he would transfer to Michigan while also testing the NBA waters. He has been training daily in Dallas in preparation for the draft while keeping his future options open.
This whole process was a blessing man, all my hard work slowly paying off & I’m nowhere near close to letting up! with that being said i will be attending the University of Michigan for my last year & I’ll also 100% still be testing the NBA waters.. #GOBLUE〽️ pic.twitter.com/tuetOckrkp
