The Los Angeles Lakers are officially in the 2021 NBA playoffs.
LeBron James & Co. clinched a postseason berth with a riveting 103-100 win over the Golden State Warriors in Wednesday’s play-in tournament game.
A mere playoff appearance won’t satisfy the Lakers or their fans, of course, as the 2020 NBA champions look to defend their crown against a gauntlet of talented Western Conference challengers.
With that in mind, LeBron Wire revisits how the Lakers have fared in the playoffs in every season since 2000. Powered by superstars Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal and LeBron James, the Lakers have made 14 previous postseason appearances, eight NBA Finals appearances and won six championships during that span.
