If there wasn’t an NFL salary cap, every NFL team would want an All-Pro talent like Julio Jones on its roster.
But there is. And that might limit the number of franchises who could trade for the receiver, who could be on the block due to the Atlanta Falcons’ cap issues.
Per The Athletic’s Jeff Schultz, there are only a few teams who have the cap space to absorb Jones’ salary, and those who might want an expensive talent to contend. He named six teams — the Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Chargers and maybe the Tennssee Titans, “but they also are close to the cap ceiling,” Schultz says.
Let’s rank them based on which spot would be best for Jones to contend with. After all, he’s 32 years old! Let’s get this guy a ring already!
