During his first full season with the Golden State Warriors, Juan Toscano-Anderson has made the most of his two-way contract.
The Oakland native has played in 51 games this season, including 15 starts, averaging 5.5 points on 58.5% shooting from the field with 4.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 20.5 minutes per contest. With his relentless hustle, highlight-reel dunks and fierce defense, Toscano-Anderson has quickly earned the respect of the Golden State fanbase.
Before the regular season comes to a close, Toscano-Anderson is getting rewarded for his consistent impact on a two-way deal. According to Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the Warriors are signing Toscano-Anderson to a new guaranteed two-year NBA contract.

Prior to earning his first guaranteed NBA contract, Toscano-Anderson had a unique path to the Golden State Warriors. After going undrafted out of Marquette in the 2015 draft, Toscano-Anderson joined Mexico’s National Professional Basketball League. After three seasons with the LNBP, including a stop in Venezuela, Toscano-Anderson earned a spot on the Santa Cruz Warriors training camp roster in 2018.
Toscano-Anderson played two seasons with Golden State’s G League affiliate in Santa Cruz before joining the Warriors for 13 games in the 2019-20 season. After being released before the start of the 2020-21 campaign, the Warriors re-signed Toscano-Anderson on a two-way contract.

Along with helping a run to the Western Conference play-in tournament, the 28-year-old will now be a piece of Golden State’s future plans when Klay Thompson and James Wiseman return from injury.
