The Brooklyn Nets are not worried about their losing streak

The Brooklyn Nets are not stressing this four-game losing streak that they are on as the playoffs near.

With the playoffs beginning at the end of the month, you would think going on a four-game losing streak would be causing panic and distress in the locker room. Well, for the Brooklyn Nets, it’s the complete opposite. They are actually embracing this challenge to use it to push themselves to a different gear.

Joe Harris told the media after the team’s loss to the Mavericks that this loss, “if anything it gives us more of a sense of urgency to go out and get a win.” He continued on to say, “next game against Denver, I know guys are pissed off — We know the playoffs are right around the corner, so our level of focus is definitely amplified a bit.”

Kyrie Irving embraced the drama by saying in the postgame press conference that “it’s about time we got tested in terms of just having to think the game on a different level knowing that teams are shaping up for the playoffs.”

If that wasn’t enough, Nets Steve Nash also gave his thoughts on the team embracing this adversity: “I think pressure is good. You’re going to face pressure in the playoffs — These are positive scenarios that we haven’t faced.”

“This is not a ton of panic — We’re getting healthy at the right time,” Nash said.
