Of course stopping Steph Curry this season or in any other is a near-impossible task, and the lights going out at the Smoothie King Center on Tuesday night probably didn’t have anything to do with Curry and the Golden State Warriors struggling down the stretch against the New Orleans Pelicans.
But! It’s kind of amazing that after the lights accidentally went out while Curry was in the middle of shooting, the guard had trouble hitting shots.
Here’s the moment that led to the same joke being made everywhere, including on the broadcast (that he “shot the lights out!”).

Steph Curry on the lights going out:

The before-the-darkness and after-the-outage numbers are wild:
The lights went out inside the Smoothie King Center and it changed the Warriors-Pelicans game.

For the record, head coach Steve Kerr didn’t think it was responsible for the Dubs’ loss. But still, wild!
