As expected, Ja’Marr Chase leads the way for the Cincinnati Bengals in jersey numbers by wearing the No. 1.
The Bengals announced the rest of the official jersey numbers for the 2021 draft class on Tuesday, with second-round pick Jackson Carman opting for No. 79 and Joseph Ossai going for No. 58. Cam Sample, another edge rusher, will go with the familiar No. 96.
Right after being selected by the Bengals, Chase made it clear he wanted the No. 1 — and he’ll be the first Bengals player to ever wear the number.
