Two days after the 2021 NFL draft concluded, the Washington Football Team announced a pair of roster moves.

The Football Team released wide receivers Jeff Badet and Trevor Davis on Monday.

The releases aren’t a surprise considering Washington drafted two wide receivers over the weekend. The team selected North Carolina wide receiver Dyami Brown in the third round on Friday and BYU wide receiver Dax Milne on Saturday in the seventh round.

Badet entered the NFL in 2018 as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma. Known for his blazing speed, Badet signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent. He was released after the 2018 season.

He played for the XFL in 2019 and had a pair of tryouts with the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers before signing with Washington’s practice squad in September. He was elevated to the roster on multiple occasions only to be released and signed back to the practice squad.

He signed a reserve/futures contract in January that put him on Washington’s 90-man roster.

Davis, a fifth-round pick by Green Bay in 2016, signed with the Football Team’s practice squad in October. He never appeared in a game for Washington.
