For the most part, the Miami Dolphins are enjoying positive reviews for their 2021 NFL draft class.
In one such assessment, former NFL general manager Charlie Casserly said on NFL Network’s draft coverage that he believed each of Miami’s first four selections possesses first-round talent.
These are the seven players picked by the Dolphins in the 2021 NFL draft:
• Alabama Crimson Tide wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (first round, No. 6 overall)
• University of Miami Hurricanes edge rusher Jaelan Phillips (first round, No. 18 overall)
• Oregon Ducks safety Jevon Holland (second round, No. 36 overall)
• Notre Dame Fighting Irish offensive tackle Liam Eichenberg (second round, No. 42 overall)
• Boston College Eagles tight end Hunter Long (third round, No. 81 overall)
• UMass Minutemen offensive tackle Larnel Coleman (seventh round, No. 231 overall)
• University of Cincinnati Bearcats running back Gerrid Doaks (seventh round, No. 244 overall)
The Dolphins traded out of the fifth round, exchanging this year’s 156th pick for a fourth-round pick in 2022 from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
