Aleksej Pokusevski out for remainder of game vs. Suns with knee injury

Aleksej Pokusevski, who was questionable entering game day against the Phoenix Suns, will miss the entire second half due to injury.

Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault said shortly before the game against the Phoenix Suns that although Aleksej Pokusevski (knee) was active, there was uncertainty if he would be able to play the whole game.

He was not. After Pokusevski played 10 minutes in the first half, the Thunder announced early in the third quarter that the rookie would not return for the second half.

His injury was officially cited as a left knee contusion.

Pokusevski finishes the game with four points on 2-for-4 shooting and two assists over his 10 minutes of play.

This season, Pokusevski is averaging 7.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 23.7 minutes per game. His numbers have increased dramatically in the second half of the season following a stint in the G League.

Oklahoma City entered the half trailing the Suns 64-57. Tune to Bally Sports Oklahoma to watch the conclusion of the game.
