Notre Dame will play its 31st consecutive season of home football games on NBC Sports this fall as the Irish play seven true home games at Notre Dame Stadium in 2021.
On Thursday afternoon, Notre Dame and NBC mutually announced the kick-off times for those seven games and they are as follows:
Notre Dame Football 2021 Home Football Schedule (all times ET):
Sept. 11 vs. Toledo 2:30 p.m.
Sept. 18 vs. Purdue 2:30 p.m.
Oct. 2 vs. Cincinnati 2:30 p.m.
Oct. 23 vs. USC 7:30 p.m.
Oct. 30 vs. North Carolina 7:30 p.m.
Nov. 6 vs. Navy 3:30 p.m.
Nov. 20 vs. Georgia Tech 2:30 p.m.
The highlight here obviously is that the Irish will play consecutive home night games against USC and North Carolina to close October. USC has become a regular night game in “odd” years since 2011 when the Irish host the Trojans while North Carolina gets a prime-time spot as well.
Although Cincinnati brings in quite the resume in recent years, it’s not hard to figure out why NBC executives put the Power Five program in North Carolina, who could have the top quarterback in the 2022 NFL draft on their roster, in the evening.
