The Oklahoma City Thunder did not want to break their record losing streak of 14 games, first set in 2008 and then tied again on Monday.
But over the final minute of the long-awaited 119-115 victory over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday, it seemed like the players remembered that the front office was looking for losses.
The ending was far too close for comfort, as the Celtics first cut a 10-point lead with 1:08 remaining to three, and later stole an inbounds pass that gave them a chance to tie or win the game in the closing seconds.
The Thunder did just enough in the final minutes to close out an otherwise very strong game and win.
