It’s difficult to say how good Michigan football will be in 2021, especially since we didn’t really get to see anything from spring ball. 2020 was an absolute disaster and position groups that were big strengths for years suddenly were exposed as weaknesses.
While the roster is still solid on paper, many of the players who took the field were inexperienced, and it showed. 2020 didn’t exactly inspire confidence as to the future of the Wolverines.
However, as players get experience, spring ball included, they tend to improve (imagine that) and we’ve seen very green players turn into playmakers as they see the field more often.
Now that spring ball is in the books, here is how we rank each Michigan football position group, going from the one we’re least confident in to most.
