OT Rashawn Slater falls to Vikings in new PFF mock draft

The Vikings desperately need offensive line help and this would be a huge boost for the team.

It’s draft week, baby!

In a new mock draft over at Pro Football Focus put together by Eric Eager and George Chahrouri, the Vikings strike gold, landing Northwestern offensive tackle Rashawn Slater with the 14th overall pick.

Here’s a bit of what was written about the pick:

Slater is considered by many to be the top tackle in this draft despite Sewell’s brilliance in 2019, but our system has him slightly below Darrisaw. Hence, he falls to Minnesota here. Russell Okung is Slater’s most notable statistical comp in our college-to-pro system, with Anthony Castonzo being one of the comps for his ceiling projection.

If this were to happen for Minnesota, oh boy, fans should start dancing. The Vikings desperately need offensive line talent and this would be a top-10 talent falling to them at No. 14.

You have to think that if Slater does fall past 10, the Vikings will be in some trade talks to possibly move up and take him.
