Tennessee exhibited power on the baseball diamond in its series finale at Texas A&M Sunday afternoon,
The No. 5 Volunteers clubbed six home runs in a 20-7 victory over the Aggies at Blue Bell Park in College Station, Texas.
Evan Russell had a pair of three-run blasts for the Vols (32-9, 12-6 SEC),
Pete Derkay, Luc Lipcius, Max Ferguson and Connor Pavolony each clubbed solo home runs for the Vols, who overcame an early 1-0 deficit to Texas A&M (23-19, 5-13 SEC), which took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
The Vols scored runs in bunches after being held off the scoreboard for the first two frames. Tennessee tallied four runs in the third and one in the fourth.
The Vols scored five times in the seventh and added two in the eighth before exploding for eight runs in their final at-bat.
UT had 21 hits in the game and put up 20 runs in a conference game for the first time since 2010.
Tennessee also had five doubles in the contest, including two by Jake Rucker, who had three hits, scored four runs and drove in two.
Derkay, Drew Gilbert and Kyle Booker all came up with extra-base hits for the Vols.
